Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are extremely curious. In science class, everyone should be able to explore and learn about the world in ways they don't normally get to. Our kiddos are insanely smart and creative and have a different way of thinking that makes me want to learn from them myself. They don't always get the same opportunities as everyone else based on our low SES urban area. These kids deserve the chance to engage in real world applications. Some of our students are forced to grow up fast based on their unstable home lives but we would love to give them the chance to still experience fun in the classroom. The materials provided would allow the kids to explore biology through creative digital modes!
My Project
The materials and supplies received from this project will help in creating multiple avenues for my students with their virtual learning. Many of my students need extra methods of learning material as well as translatable material. I will use this project to be able to purchase numerous resources that will create access for my students to learn the best and most fun way they can while learning from home. Creating virtual work that is engaging as well as challenging can be stressful but the funds from this project will help my students and myself feel more at ease with the learning being accomplished!
