Many kids are attending schools that do not have enough materials to fully give children the chance of exploration. The focus is usually on reading and math with little emphasis with science. I hope that with your help my students will understand cause and effect and science exploration.
I work with a variety of students with different abilities.
We have a fully inclusive preschool classroom to include both students with and without learning disabilities. We are also an area with a high poverty rate. I have found that my children learn best from each other and with the use of inclusion it gives the students an opportunity to learn from each other. My preschoolers are full of life and love to do science experiments. I take anything I can and help them learn through the use of doing activities. My students generally leave the preschool classroom with great knowledge and remember all of the great things that were done in the classroom.
My Project
With your help we will be able to continue to serve these children and expose them to many different things that they have not been exposed to. With the use of the Can Do Science Discovery Kit our activities will give the kids the understanding of cause and effect which can benefit them in real life decisions that they make with this skill. They will able to understand predictions and that we are not always right with our predictions with the Sink or Float Exploration Kit.
I am so glad that my sister told me about this website because it proves that people truly do care about education and how they can help students.
I use many of my own resources to provide items for my classroom to help build a learning rich environment to provide children with a safe and pleasant learning atmosphere. I am glad that people are willing to donate materials that are needed to help build the future of our children.
