Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a Tiltle 1 school in Tolleson, Arizona. My children range in ages from 3-4.5. The program is designed as a Wrap Around Childcare. The children come to my class after their AM/PM preschool session. The children love to explore the classroom especially the science area.
They love to investigate and explore the materials and learn how things work.
My Project
The materials I have chosen will help my wonderful students use their senses to help them develop the necessary scientific skills needed to explore and learn about the world around them.
Science helps children to develop life skills, including communication skills, organization skills and focus and the ability to form their own opinions.
These materials will be placed in our science center and the children will have full access to them throughout the day. They will have the opportunity to work as a team to learn together and develop life long skills.
