My students need science experiment materials! We need magnet kits for our upcoming experiments!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Kender's classroom raised $234

My Students
My students are gifted and talented students that come from Williamsburg, New York, and surrounding neighborhoods. They are bright and need to stay focused during various lessons. When engaged, they love to learn and manipulate materials.
My gifted students have multiple ways in which they learn.
They enjoy being able to see, up close and personal, everything I'm doing, whether it be conducting a science experiment or editing another student's work. Students also enjoy being able to see what I'm reading during reading, writing and science lessons. The ELMO will provide for better readability within my classroom environment.
My Project
Now that I have my ELMO, I would like to start projecting experiments suing the SmartBoard for all to see. What I am missing is wonderful materials to experiment with! Our next unit is magnets and I have searched and found awesome kits with multiple manipulatives, so all students can partake in the scientific method. These kits will allow for observations, predictions, inquiry, testing and analysis.
Starting in February, we will be delving into this unit on magnets!
We will be inquiring about: What makes things move? How do things move? and How do magnets move things? If you examine the kits, they have multiple resources the children can experiment with! The book in the other kit will allow for a resource and guide for me to create experiments.
I love science and I'm sure there are parents within my class who find it equally as important. Please help fund my classroom for awesome science supplies!
