My students need an organized science center with materials ready for sciences experiments that we complete throughout the year that includes a cart to store the items on.
I am getting so excited to start a brand new school year with 21 awesome students. We are a Title l school in a small town in Laurel, Montana. My students come to school eager to learn and excited about the adventures that lay ahead. Students learn at an early age what they want to do in the future. I want to build the love of science within my students by incorporating as many hands on science activities experiments and activities as possible.
My Project
Students grow a love for science through hands on materials. I try to incorporate a lot of experiments and activities in my classroom. We need a science cart to store all the supplies for the experiments and all the materials for the experiments. The organization of the science materials will make the experiments go quicker and help students learn responsibility with clean up. In addition, I can share this cart with other classes that may want to conduct the same experiments.
The individual materials will be used in different experiments.
For example, the toothpicks, clear jars, and funnels are used in the "Classifying Rocks" experiment. The food coloring is used in the "Determine Different Densities Experiment". The safety glasses, funnels, and wooden spoons will be used in the "Erosion Experiment". Every single material I have listed will be used in different hands on experiments that we conduct in my class throughout the school year. I can also pass on the use of these materials to other teachers to use.
