My Students

My students are resilient learners who seek challenge, embrace world cultures, and use creativity to express themselves.

My students are energetic, inquisitive, and engaged learners.

They love hands-on learning opportunities to find creative ways to explore world through art, economics, history, science, and culture. They are excited to learn! Most of my students live in low-income homes and work after school or on the weekends to help support their families. They are as dedicated to their learning as they are to their families. They are an amazing group of students!

My Project

I love giving my students the opportunity to see the world from a global perspective. Scholastic's Allons-y! magazines are the perfect resource for me to use with my students because not only will they have a print copy to use when they are at home (outside of the school's wifi range), they will also have an extensive amount of digital bonus resources to use inside the classroom.

Allons-y magazines will help my beginner French students compare their world to their peers in francophone countries by learning about global products and economies, financial habits of teens, cultural practices, art, TV, film, and so much more!

My students will be able to accelerate their French language learning by studying their Allons-y! magazine because the content is specifically written to engage teenage learners in topics that are interesting to them.
