SCIENCE DURING A PANDEMIC

Help me give my students the materials needed during this pandemic. As a Science teacher I am trying to be able to still do hands on but protecting each other.

My Students

I am a Spanish Dual Immersion teacher. I see 46 students on a daily basis and teach both Spanish and 4th grade Science core curriculum. Each of my students are unique and come from a variety of backgrounds! They come to school each day ready to learn and participate in their education. This year we have also lots of students working from home due to quarantine and other different situations.

They look forward to the challenge of learning academics in a new language.

I will use this money for the benefit of my students and to support their learning.

My Project

These materials will help my students and me succeed in our learning process.

Being a Science teacher and motivate my students during a pandemic is not easy.

I will use the Apple pen in my daily instruction as we use technology more than ever. It will make it easier.

The HEPA filter will continue to help to maintain our air clean in the class. We need to replace the filter very often.

The rest of the materials will allow my students to experiment by themselves without sharing the materials. Each of them will now have a set they will be able to use in class while social distancing. Main goal this year.

Being a Science teacher and motivate my students during a pandemic is not easy. I still want them to DO and EXPERIMENT but sharing materials is not an option. This grant will allow my students to be able to keep learning by exploring using their own materials.
