How can children learn and be excited about science with no books, material, or hands on materials? Please help me to make science fun and exciting for my kids. The way science should be!
My students are kindergarteners in a high poverty area in Pennsylvania.
The little ones learn so much, so fast. They need to develop a love for all subjects and school early on, especially science. It is a subject that is often neglected. Please help me bring science to life for my little ones.
My Project
I am requesting items that will be a good start to building my science curriculum in my classroom. The first item we need is a variety of science books. We love to read in kindergarten and the information we can get out of these books is so valuable. After we read books we need to be hands on in science. We want to observe worms and ants in their habitats and their behaviors. We also want to observe and learn about the life cycle of frogs and butterflies. What could be better then doing this through having our very own ant and worm kits as well as a frog habitat and butterfly garden?
This project is so important in helping my kindergarten children to develop a love of school.
They need to understand that school and learning is fun! My students need science and they need it to be fun and interactive. The way science should be!
