Our first grade students desire to learn more about the world around them as they come to school each day. Our grade level desires to present the standards to meet all ability levels in our classrooms. We want to provide classrooms that are enriching and inviting to all students.
As teachers, we strive at our grade level to provide our young students with multiple opportunities in language arts, math, science, and art.
By having a variety of resources available to our students, we are impacting the development of future writers, mathematicians, scientists, and artists. It is exciting to see young children interested in learning when they are given a variety of experiences in the classroom.
My Project
Our students will have the opportunity to create ocean dioramas that will be displayed on their desk during our annual Open House. Students will be able to explain to their parents the different ocean animals that they chose to represent in their diorama and what part of the ocean is their habitat. Students will also create art projects throughout the year using the art medium of water color paper to expand their art skills. For special projects throughout the year to commemorate special writing we will use the laminating pouches to preserves their special work. All of the supplies requested for this project will impact our students in a positive manner.
