My Students

Our students have so many wonderful things about them. They come from some of the hardest home lives, but their resilience is shown daily as they come to school no matter what so they can try to better themselves and move forward in life.

Our students thrive on success and look forward to showing their talents whenever possible.

As Nikos Kazantzakis said: "True teachers use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own." I'm trying to be that bridge for our students.

My Project

When teaching science to an entire building, we need to make sure our science journals are contained in an area for students to get to quickly and easily. We need paper to create models and show our understanding of what is learned.

Using these book baskets helps keep all 12 classrooms organized and readily available for students to grab quickly.

The paper and clipboards are a wonderful way for students to show their learning in a fun way as well. They can get their clipboard and work on the floor, desk, table or hallway to cooperatively work on scientific concepts.
