My Project

Many students at my school struggle with reading. In science, we do not have a textbook and so there are not many opportunities to read. So, I am developing a science library that we use once a week where I feature many different types of books. I would like to add science comic books to this collection.

Many students find the format of a comic book very engaging, encouraging them to learn about their world through reading!

This year I went to the library to check out some science comic books and they were always the first to leave the shelf on our reading day. I would like a collection of these books to keep in my room. I have also included a few other books that will encourage students to read. No matter what the subject area, increasing literacy skills in our student population is of utmost importance! These books will help me do that.
