My Project
I love that many of my students come in every day hungry for knowledge. They thrive when we are doing various activities and not just sitting on computers. In doing so, we go through a lot of pencils throughout the school year. This amount will ensure that I have plenty pre-sharpened and ready to go for when a scholar needs a pencil, at any point in time. The acrylic frames are used during various activities for scholars to know what station they are at when we are doing station work. I have a variety of signs that I put in them when we use them. It makes it easy for them to identify where they need to head to next for activities, seat changes, directions, and table reminders when necessary. I need to replace the ones I currently have, as they are about 15 years old and are all cracked and broken from years of being well loved. The stamps will be used to check student notebooks, even though they are 7th graders, they are still kids at heart. They love a good sticker or stamp for encouragement.
While we do utilize the available technology a lot in the classroom, having headphones for students that do not have their own to be able to complete their headphones is super helpful.
The ones we currently have are a few years old and starting to fail due to age. Having some replacements ready to go, will allow students to keep on working. I use a tiered assignments method, and students complete assignments at thier own pace. Having headphones so that students that work ahead or need a completely different assginement than others at the time, allows those students to do so and not disrupt the others in the room that are working.
