My students need a Secrets of Science Games Library and a complete set of Learning Science Libraries to further their education in science.

My Students

My students are facing the challenge this year of overcoming what has happened in their lives this past spring due to the tornado hitting our town in Joplin, MO.

My students are considered to be in low poverty and are trying to overcome the devastation that has hit our town.

This has affected their home life; some are living in the FEMA trailers and their families are trying to get by with few resources. Therefore, the parents cannot afford to buy extra supplies for their child to complete science experiments or projects.

My Project

I am requesting learning science libraries that are coordinated to the science tubs in the previous project. This will enhance the learning of the hands-on science projects by having the students read non-fiction material that goes with the activity tubs. I am also requesting a set of games to enhance the science learning to help retain the information learned.

Science is such a hard concept to understand and by having students use hands-on activities and non-fiction reading that is exciting to go along with the projects the learning will have a more meaningful experience for the students.

Plus the use of the games in the science topics will be fun and exciting for the students while they are learning all the science topics.
