Science, Art and Poetry

Help me give my students artist trading cards for an outlet of expression and creativity, new pencil sharpeners, so they may always have a means to be creative, books that strengthen character and snacks to celebrate their success!

My Project

This lesson incorporates many of the Elements of Art and Design; line, shape, color, texture, space, value, symmetry, rhythm, emphasis, balance and perspective. After studying the Art elements and design patterns found in nature, the students will create art that incorporates many of these elements. Upon completion of their artwork, the students will create a poem that correlates to their art. My students are very proud of their oil pastel flora paintings as well as their poetry! We will critique their finished work and celebrate with snacks that they love!
