My Project

Science and social studies allow for authentic integration of not only ELA and math in my classroom of first graders, but they also allow them to solve classroom and school issues, as well as, investigate community and world problems. My first graders absolutely love science and social studies--They love learning about maps and making observations to determine the effects of sunlight on the Earth's surface!

Scholastic News and Science Spin subscriptions will help get excellent digital and print resources into the hands of every scholar in my class, to help them become successful lifelong scientists and discover the joy and power of attractive, colorful comprehensive print and differentiation tools, assessments, and activities!

The goal of this project is for both subscriptions to offer many valuable components in supporting my scholars as they identify real world problems by engaging, exploring and evaluating their learning and growth!
