My students need chart paper and markers, as well as the Samsung laptops to have the ability to do research both in class and at home with my check out system for those children that can’t afford to have their own laptops.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in fifth grade gifted. They come from warm and caring families. Two-thirds of my students have recently exited the ESOL (English Second Language Learner) program in the past year.
My students are eager and energetic learners that, love to express themselves and take an active role in the learning process.
They love all aspects of schooling especially working in groups on laptops and hands on science learning. Together with my students we are looking forward to an exciting year.
My Project
The Samsung laptops will make learning and research more accessible to all of my students because they will be able to check them out as needed to continue the learning at home.
My students will use all of these resources, the laptops, large notepads and markers to conduct amazing research and create stunning posters displaying their knowledge.
Being able to bring the content to life through art will help strengthen their learning and it will reach more learning styles.
Art and education go hand in hand, and having access to the materials needed to accomplish that will make a huge impact on student learning.
