My students are in a Voluntary Pre Kindergarten special needs classroom, it is a Title I school and very rural to the other schools in the county. Our students rely on many grants to achieve our purpose of helping each and everyone individually. We are developing our art skills and need an area for the students to dry their artwork. We are at the time utilizing a line with clothespins to hold the artwork, and we would like a rack in our art center.
My Project
The coding mouse will help my students recognize colors and be able to develop visuals for them to learn and discover Science and Math with hands-on experiences such as magnets that will help show connections of real world experiences. My children are very curious of the world around them, and this is providing them those experiences such as sink and float, that will help learn what items are heavy and light and the non-fiction books that allow the children to have real-life visuals of different types of animals. Some of these children do not have hands-on experiences as much as regular education children, and I want them to enjoy the world around them by using their sense of wonder. This project is very near and dear to my heart just like the children who will be receiving and utilizing these items.
