My Project

Hands-on science activities help students connect new learning to the real world. My students love being able to actively work on projects related to our reading and writing topics. Having adequate supplies each year allows everyone to actively participate.

Connecting science with reading and writing builds background knowledge and increases student understanding of new concepts.

Our reading curriculum has many science topics like Light, Sound, Ecology, Animal Classifications and Astronomy. It is important that students are able to participate in small group activities to strengthen their understanding of these topics. These supplies will allow us to have more interaction with new ideas and skills.

By supporting this project, you will be helping students build knowledge in science and math concepts as well as strengthen their reading and writing skills.
