My Students
I have an amazing set of reading intervention students in grades kindergarten through third.
I teach at a very diverse school in Bloomington, MN.
My school is classified as a high-poverty school, with many students on the free or reduced-price lunch program. My students are made up of a wide variety of abilities, interests, and challenges. From learning support students, to English language learners, I am here to teach them all and give them the best education possible! My school rocks!
My Project
The hilarious STEM series of books I have selected explains how some of life's most natural phenomena (yes, even poop), scariest occurrences and manmade wonders have transformed our world. I have selected several books from the "You Wouldn't Want to Live Without" series. Books that talk about cell phones, clean water, and soap. These books will encourage my young readers to learn more about the everyday items around them. Many of the items they use without thinking about everyday.
The cartoon style illustrations make the books fun and attractive to young readers.
Each book also includes a simple, safe experiment, or an action you can take to help make the world a better place.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
