This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have included in this grant a few things to peak the students interest in the world around them, such as the geode kit and terrarium builder. It is so important for my students with disabilities to have the creative freedom to explore their surroundings, especially because often times they have no control and typically lack the skills needed to be as successful in their academics. Science allows them to feel successful. I also wanted to include some items for their emotional well being.

Help give my students a well rounded education by giving them some hands on learning tools to navigate in the physical world, and the world of navigating emotions.
