Providing my student with these materials will provide them with so many coping skills. All of these items, I see as tools to help students be able to either communicate or function appropriately. The sand and sensory items will help them reset after a hard episode. I have multiple students who are nonverbal, the flip books will allow them to communicate appropriately with me, my educational assistants, their peers, and also their families. I have so many life skills I want teach my student, and all of these items will assist me I making sure they have the best education I can give them.
