My Project
My 5th grade students are curious, energetic learners who are eager to explore the world around them. To deepen their understanding of science, especially topics like climate change, ecosystems, and environmental responsibility, I am seeking high-interest nonfiction and fiction books that align with both our science standards and support English Language Development. Many of my students are English learners, and having engaging, accessible texts will help them build content knowledge while developing academic vocabulary and reading skills. These books will allow us to combine literacy with science exploration, fostering critical thinking and global awareness.
