This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is full of intelligent, creative, and hard-working kids. From the moment they greet each other before breakfast until they go home in the afternoon, my students are focused on succeeding. Regardless of what they encounter once they leave the security of school, my scholars want to be the best they can be.

Providing my students with the supplies they need will allow them to focus on their work, not on whether they will have a pencil to write with or a tissue to blow their nose.

These hard-working kids often worry about whether they will have their basic needs met. We utilize dry erase boards throughout

the day to check student learning, so having markers to use throughout the year will make this a possibility. In addition, post-it notes help my students self-evaluate and track their behavior. We use a lot of interactive pieces in our notebooks and being able to glue them in and clean up afterward using wipes will keep our environment fresh and ready for the learning ahead. Having enough pencils to keep my students writing all year and enough notebooks to express their thoughts will let them focus on the important task - Learning!
