School-Wide Cozy Corners for Self-Regulation

Help me give my students feelings charts, calming strategy cards, sand timers and other items to use in safe spaces to self-regulate and get back on track.

My Project

Our elementary school would like the opportunity to create a safe space in our classrooms where students are able to self-regulate, reflect, and refocus.

These spaces will provide accessible tools to help students cope with big feelings, calm their bodies, and be able to transition back to learning as quickly as possible.

Feeling posters and calming visuals, as well as different types of fidgets and sensory tools will be available in every room to assist students as they self-regulate.

Our hope is that students will be able to independently go to a safe space in their classroom, set a timer, choose and use a coping strategy, and then get back on track.

Please help us in cultivating a positive learning environment for ALL of our students!
