My students love to read and I have a wide range of readers. The Nooks I am requesting will be a great asset to my classroom to help rebuild my classroom library of what was lost in my fire that destroyed much of the school.
My third graders are hardworking, kind and compassionate students.
They love to read, write, conduct science experiments, explore the world of mathematics by proving their answers and thrive when it comes to any type of technology. This would include going to the computer lab, listening to books on cd, using the leapfrog tag readers and even the Encyclopedia Britannica through a listening pen.
My Project
My literacy-rich school was destroyed in a fire on super bowl Sunday. 72% of our 500 students receive free or reduced lunch; this includes free breakfast to every one of our students each and every day. I have 20 students that love to read and look forward to it every day. Their reading ability ranges from kindergarten to fifth grade.
Because my students love to read, the 10 Nooks I am requesting will be a great resource to help in their education to become lifelong 21st century learners.
Your donations will help us to focus on learning and our path ahead. Thank you so much for your support of my students. I truly appreciate it.
