Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing my students with a calm, organized, and relaxing space for therapy can support them as they work through their emotions. I want to replace the large, clunky filing cabinets with uniform cube storage. The cube storage will keep supplies organized and provide easy access for myself and my students to use during sessions. Having a rug, coffee table, and end tables will make the space feel more like a therapy office instead of a business office.

A mini fridge will let me store drinks and snacks for my students.

I will also keep some small frozen treats in the freezer. Having something cold/frozen to eat or during a moment of emotional dysregulation can help distract their brain enough to help them calm down.
