This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Once upon a time, school districts had money for pencil sharpeners, paper, and pencils. Now, times have changed. The school districts are broke and yet school goes on. We still need basic school supplies. My classroom is missing these vital elements, and we need them now!

I currently teach in a third grade classroom working with high-achieving and gifted students.

Our school received Title 1 funds and many students come from impoverished and immigrant backgrounds. My goal for these students is to challenge them across the curricula. In order to achieve this goal, we need to work on various projects in order to meet their needs. Unfortunately, some parents are not in the position to buy school supplies for their child. Day in and day out I'm supplying them with what is necessary although I have used more supplies this year than in any other year.

My Project

What a difference a day will make when a student has the materials they need in order to complete their school projects. They will take pride in their work and strive for mastery. With needed supplies, students will save time and know that others in this world care about their success. Having a classroom that has the needed materials will help them be better learners and challenge them to go beyond the expectations of a lesson.

By having the needed supplies, students will become confident and understand that others expect great things from them.

Your donation will help my third grade students get the necessary school supplies: pencils, a stapler, and even speakers so we can use the computer as a lesson resource. Donate now to help me educate our future doctors, teachers, and community leaders!
