My Students

My special education class is made up of some pretty spectacular kindergarten and 1st graders. I teach resource, inclusion, self-contained, and tutorial classes. Our class is made up of students who have: attention deficit disorder, developmental delays, specific learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, other health impairments, and autism.

Despite their disabilities, my students come in my class smiling and eager to learn everyday!

Watching their smiles and excitement when they achieve a goal makes my job the most rewarding ever!

My Project

I teach kindergarten and 1st grade, and a lot of the things we do and make require school supplies. The students need crayons, markers, glue sticks, dry erase markers, erasers, a crayon sharpener, dry erase board cleaner to do different activities and crafts. I also need laminating pouches, card stock, velcro dots, file folders, glue sticks, and command strips to make and hang different fun and durable activities for the students to use.
