Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school holds a unique and diverse population of students in a Spanish-English bilingual program. Students are able to learn and thrive academically, while simultaneously develop biliterate and bicultural skills. More than half of the students in our school come from low-income families, but they are nevertheless motivated to discover and explore! My 5th graders are exceptional students who inspire me every day to give them all that I can!

The students are ready to take on the new school year with flying colors!

My Project

Starting off as a fist-year teacher, I have come to the quick realization that there are lots of materials to buy! I want to be able to give my students all the supplies that they need and deserve to utilize in the classroom. In order for my 5th graders to start off the year right and maintain that mindset throughout the year, we need some materials to get us started! Since more than half of the students at our school come from low income households, it is important that I am equipped with extra supplies to support their needs.

A clean, stocked, and organized classroom is a happy classroom!

All of these important school essentials will not be put to waste, and my students and I will be grateful to have the necessary materials to kickstart a year of success!
