My Students

My students love learning! We are a self-contained classroom for students who need more direct instruction and a smaller teacher/student ratio. My students range in grades from K-6th grade and range greatly in ability levels. We have a very diverse cultural population with a variety of income levels. We also serve a high amount of military families.

"Every child can learn," is a motto that every special needs teacher lives by.

Despite their disabilities, all of my wonderful students come to school every day eager to learn.

My Project

Most of my students are out of basic school supplies or have not been able to afford purchasing the needed supplies. We are in need of pencils, folders, binders, paper, chart paper, Expo markers etc. We will use the binders to allow our students to keep track of their own data. They use Expo markers daily when writing on whiteboards and laminated activities.

I have several students who come to school on a daily basis without any sort of school supplies.

We go through basic supplies very quickly and having pencils, paper and other basic supplies donated would benefit my students greatly.

Students will be more successful without the stress of knowing that their supplies are low or gone. I always want my students to be successful and creative and these supplies will help them to achieve success within all of their classes.
