Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a K-5 school with nearly 100% free lunch. My students love to come to school and learn. They have the potential to be very successful with the limited supplies that they bring to school. In order for my students to be successful, they need to have the correct materials to help them achieve this goal.

My students love to show how creative they are during Plan Do Review.

Having the correct supplies and materials will help them accomplish this.

My Project

Many of my students are living at the poverty level and aren't able to get school supplies to start off the school year. Students want to be successful in their educational experience and it's hard to accomplish this when they aren't able to come to school prepared for the new school year.

The supplies I have ordered will help my students become successful learners at the beginning of the school year.

Kindergarten students are so eager to learn and to experience school life. They will accomplish this when they have the correct supplies waiting for them at the beginning of the school year.

In Kindergarten, the students start to learn how to write their ABC's, numbers, and begin to write basic sentences using the pencils that I am asking for. The scissors will help the students with their fine motor skills. Some of the reading centers the students will be doing require them to use their cutting and gluing skills to complete the activity. These supplies will help the students in many ways.
