My Students

I have the pleasure of working in a Chicago public school. I teach a wonderful group of diverse learners that are in grades Kindergarten to 3rd grade.This is my first year teaching special education.

I am working to provide my students with the right resources and materials to be successful in school.

My Project

We are now entering back into the classroom, after learning remotely for 1.5 years.

Students need school supplies to help them with hands-on activities in the classroom.

Students will be able to practice their writing with pencils and handwriting paper. They will be able to color pictures and solve math problems utilizing their new markers and crayons. Students will have binders to hold all of their work and data that represents that journey on meeting their IEP goals. Folders will also be used to house student information. Students will use the foam letters to support occupational therapy needs and their ability to recognize and create different letters of the alphabet. The magnetic letters will help them with letter identification and spelling. The zip loc bags will help to store student's personal items, as well as the books they are currently reading. Post-it notes will be used as posters to help students learn concepts. And kleenex will be used to help students dealing with allergies or runny noses.
