Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am the kindergarten teacher to 16 little 5-year-olds. We are currently learning virtually, however, each student possesses his/her own individual talents, that I enjoy working with and learning about each day. Although many of my students are just beginning their educational paths, they log on to our sessions each day eager for knowledge. I am passionate about setting them up for success, and I hope that I can continue to help them whether it be at the school or virtually.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it will make learning fun. Instead of just circling letters or sight words that they see, they can actually add colors with the use of highlighters. Also, rather than sharing one gluestick between 6 students, each child can have his/her own!

Kindergarteners come to school daily to create new experiences.

Many times they bring with them the pencils that they found on the floor of the bus or the school. Now we can have a way to sharpen their pencils with an electric pencil sharpener. It will be so much easier for not only the teachers but also the students.
