This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a teacher for over 25 years. I have seen the world of education change greatly throughout this journey. One thing, though, always remains the same. Kids need the proper tools to be successful in third grade. When this year ends, I will send their pencil boxes, scissors, and whiteboards home so they can continue learning throughout the summer. A new year will soon be upon us, and my new third graders will need new supplies.

My future third-graders need basic school materials like pencil boxes, scissors, and whiteboards to guide them to success this coming school year.

Each student will need their materials to help them learn and explore content in my flexible classroom. These materials are vital to our success this coming school year. My students need whiteboards to show their mathematical thinking while solving problems. They will also need pencil boxes to separate their materials from their classmates. These materials will make small group time and group projects run more smoothly as they can easily move from station to station. My classroom also needs storage caddies for their shared materials. Even though I have been teaching for a long time, I always feel like a new teacher because I send my supplies home at the end of the school year. Would you please donate to my classroom to help the kids start the new year right?
