Help me give my students a large magnetic whiteboard/chart paper holder, extra glue sticks, personal whiteboards and more to support their learning all year long!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students in my second grade class are excited to learn and constantly intrigued by the learning opportunities I provide each and every day.
"When a flower doesn't bloom you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower" ~ Alexander Den Heijer.
My students are hard working, fun-loving kids. I wish for them to have the tools they need to be successful. Given the chance, every child can soar!
My Project
From reading to math, science and social studies we use interactive journals and whiteboards every day. I give my students lots of practice to document learning, record writing and take notes. The best part is they have a memory of our year together!
My students work hard and use lots of shared materials as they learn, design and create.
We always begin the year with plenty of supplies but we always run out of glue sticks before the year is over. This project will make sure there is plenty of glue without asking parents to buy more.
The small whiteboards are essential tools for whole group and individual learning easily fitting into student desks. Like the notebooks and whiteboards we use the chart stand to hold anchor charts and pockets charts every day as well.
The last two items on the list are something I've needed for years storage for posters, bulletin board sets and bulletin board border. When I first started teaching I put together something that's held onto everything but it's not sturdy anymore and it's hard to quickly find what I need because the materials always seem to get jumbled up!
As we continue to learn and grow this year, these supplies will help us succeed and keep us organized!
