Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are some of the hardest working students This year, I started off as a kindergarten teacher. However, this past week, I was given the opportunity to be a 5th grade teacher. My students live in Trenton, NJ. My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. In the words of Rita Pierson, "Every kids needs a champion!" As a new teacher, I am still working towards building a classroom library and supplies for my students.
I am hoping to make a change in my students lives; they have already been short changed, and I want to make sure they are successful.
As their teacher, I want to be the constant source of support and help them to learn and grow. I want to make sure I give the students the tools they need to become a great citizen in their community. Please consider my campaign!
My Project
With these schools supplies, I am hoping to not ask for my students to bring in school supplies! Working in a low-income area, most of my students can not afford to buy the necessary supplies that are needed to be successful in the classroom.
With these supplies, my students will be able to start the school year on the right track!

The binders, will allow my students to organize their papers, and bring their homework to home and school. As a teacher, you can never have enough pencils and I want to make sure my students are never in need of a pencil! Lastly, with the expo-marks and white boards, I will be able to engage the students and check their understanding as we are doing group work!
