Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our public elementary school with a high percentage of English language learners who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Besides the high percentage of English learners, our school has a variety of different ethnic groups attending. Over 90% of the students in my school community qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.
My Project
The students are enthusiastic about learning but need supplies to use at school in order to learn or to keep their belonging organized for their studies. School supplies are a necessity for students. Constant budget cuts in education are affecting our supplies and materials in order to help make the school year a success. These school supplies will help ease the burden by helping to provide school supplies for the classroom so I don't have to worry about purchasing supplies. The supplies in this project will provide the materials that are necessary for the day-to-day activities and work in our classroom. I am requesting these supplies, so I can give each student their own personal set of materials.
