My Students

My students are bright, creative, and engaged learners, despite the fact our community school is in an urban community struggling with poverty and violence. Our classroom community provides them with an oasis where their minds can soar and they can thrive.

They do not have school supplies at home and depend on our classroom resources.

They are working hard to make academic progress, but do not have access to the basic materials that would make their learning activities easier. Our valuable time is wasted trying to round up materials from nearby classrooms.

My Project

My students must be able to focus on their learning without struggling to find adequate resources like pencils, paper, crayons, markers, earphones, and other basic materials for literacy and math activities. This year, we ran out of most of our supplies (pencils, erasers, math and literacy notebooks, earphones for online reading, whiteboard markers for math strategies) and were scraping to find the materials needed to complete assignments and projects.

By donating to our project, you will provide my amazing third-graders with the necessary supplies to increase their academic achievement.

These children deserve to have a well-stocked classroom that supports their academic needs and creative ideas!
