My Students

The students really love coming to school. Our school is a Title I school with 100% free breakfast and lunch, which means that our students come from low income families. They deal with a lot of stress at home and that stress most often comes with them when they enter the school building.

In my classroom, I focus on capturing the hearts of students by building meaningful relationships with each child.

Having a positive impact on our students is very important to every person who works at our school. We know that the stress that the kids bring with them from home can greatly impact how they learn. Teachers and staff strive each and every day to make sure that we speak to students in the hallways, we shake their hands as they enter the classrooms, we sit and talk with students at lunch, and we play with them at recess. We understand that our students come first. We understand that in order for us to be able to teach them, they have to feel safe and loved by the people around them. Each teacher at my school genuinely loves teaching!

My Project

These supplies are always needed at every point in the school year! Pre-sharpened pencils are great to have on hand for easy students access! In my room, my students go through glue sticks and erasers! We do so many fun projects that they are very necessary! The crayons and dry erase markers are used quite often too!

The supplies that I have chosen are going to be used throughout the year for me to keep my students engaged in their learning and to make their learning as easy and fun as possible!

The sticky notes have become a new favorite of my students! They love to record connections and ideas that they have while they are reading on their sticky notes! We will use the grid paper and dry erase markers for math and math stations! And I have been in desperate need for some new scissors for the longest time! All of these supplies will help me make sure that my students can learn what they need to learn and be successful this upcoming school year!
