My Project

Every student deserves to start the school year off with all the materials they need to be successful. In my school district, we often lack the funds for these basic materials. School supplies such as Kleenex, cards, folders, pencils, crayons and dry-erase markers are imperative to student learning on a daily basis.

Each item on my wish list has a specific purpose for learning in my classroom.

My students will use the index cards to create phonemic awareness flashcards and practice their spelling words each week. Dry-erase markers will be used for daily work on dry- erase boards to practice math equations, spelling patterns, and to answer comprehension questions. We will use crayons and pencils to create beautiful writing pieces, artwork, and to help us solve math problems throughout the school year. The lamination sheets will allow me to create hands-on games and activities that will be used year after year.

Many of the items on my wish list are cleaning supplies and tissues. It is important that I keep my students and our classroom as clean and healthy as possible throughout the school year. We will use Clorox Wipes to clean desks and surfaces daily and tissues to keep our faces clean.
