My students are bright, compassionate, and hardworking. I teach a homeroom of 20 students ELA and math, plus an additional 18 students for reading interventions. We currently are working on building our fluency and decoding skills for reading. During the month of August, we have focused on community building, trustworthy behaviors, and helping friends in polite and positive ways. I would like my students to become better at expressing themselves in writing. My goal for them is to write and publish their own original books this year.
My Project
My students are working hard to become better readers, writers, and math wizards! That requires materials! Our class supplies from August have been used already! We need help to keep our learning going! Supplies like pencils, glue, and crayons are so important to elementary students. They are items that are used on a daily basis. They may seem so unimportant in the overall success of a student, but the opposite is true in reality. Using fun colors for writing and creating, help to spark imagination and creativity. Students love to color code learning and organize by using color to highlight!
