This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
With an enrollment of approximately 220 students, each class typically comprises 25 students per instructor on average. The district experiences frequent student mobility, emphasizing the significance of maximizing our instructional time. Many students start kindergarten below expected proficiency levels, underlining the critical role of the early elementary grades. Our students display exceptional enthusiasm for learning and possess a remarkable eagerness to acquire knowledge.
Ensuring that my students have access to essential school materials likes crayons, pencils, tape, markers as well as these seat organizers is paramount to fostering a conducive learning environment.
Through this project, my second-grade students will engage in collaborative activities such as constructing, innovating, and resolving challenges within both small and large group settings. They will be encouraged to explore and apply a variety of techniques to enhance their interpersonal skills.
Despite the absence of external financial support or a parent-teacher association for fundraising, our school relies solely on personal contributions to equip classrooms with necessary supplies and tools. As an educator with 15 years of experience in the district and a dedicated member of the Braided Behavior Support Services Team, I am committed to providing my students with the highest quality educational experience. My ultimate goal is to instill in them a lifelong passion for learning and a positive sense of self-worth.
Our students exhibit remarkable dedication to their academic pursuits. I am dedicated to promoting a sense of community within our elementary school, facilitating opportunities for students to enhance their social and emotional competencies through collaborative endeavors in both small and large group settings.
