My Students

My 5th grade classroom is a place of wonder and students finding themselves. Each day students show up eager to learn. My goal is to provide students with engaging authentic lessons to help them grow into passionate learners.

I teach at a Title 1 school in New York where 100% of students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Students are not always dealt a fair hand, but love coming to a warm, comfortable classroom each and everyday.

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful in every aspect of life!

My Project

I am very excited to start a new school year with a new group of fifth graders. I love starting the first day of school and seeing joy and excitement on my students' faces.

When my students come to school I want them to be focused on learning, not whether or not they will have the necessary supplies to make each day successful.

Many of my families are low income, making it challenging for the students to get the supplies needed for school. These supplies will give each student a place to store their things and the necessary supplies to be successful each day in the classroom. This project will give my students pencils, supply cases, book storage, Post-its and more!
