My Project

I work in a community of hard working families. My school has a very diverse group of learners that are always so excited to come to school to learn, and share their voices. My third graders love to learn! I work at a Title I school in Phoenix. We have very hard working families and students at our school, but school supplies are not always a top priority. At the beginning of next school year, we are having another school merge into ours due to closures. We will be having a lot of new students coming to our school.

I want to be able to give all of these incoming third graders the supplies they need to be successful for the upcoming school year.

These school supplies will help my students be able to be more involved in our classroom activities. I will also be able to plan more exciting and engaging lessons for my students. With all students having the proper school supplies, they do not have to worry about finding any to share or waiting until someone else is finished.

All school supplies are treated with respect in my classroom. My students know how much of a privilege it is to have school supplies they can borrow if they do not have any. These supplies will also help my students stay more organized and make supplies more easily accessible.
