My Project

School supplies for Grade 5 is a project designed to help my students start the year off prepared for the high learning expectations of Grade 5. BPS is a diverse community of students many from low-income households. This project of providing them with basic organizational materials serves two great purposes. The project includes notebook paper, folders, and pencils. First, if these materials are provided to them it will relieve some of the back-to-school financial stress that these families face at the end of every summer. Stress relief can lead to more family support for education. These materials will allow me to teach the students a valuable way to organize and hold important information, not only to support their learning for this school year but for the rest of their school career.
