Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am writing urging help providing resources and materials for freshman at Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx. Last year I began teaching at Clinton and found that the students responded well to people that truly cared about their future. Using Donors Choose, I was able to purchase new books for my students so that they had quality reading to enhance their performance. This year, with a new batch of students and all new personalities, I am asking for help in receiving school supplies to help us for the year. I need everything, from paper to scissors, markers, pens and everything in between. Because my students are mostly all from low income housing, I try to provide everything for them. Giving them something that was donated by a caring donor would help them learn the responsibility and care that comes along with the donation. thank you so much for to anyone that helps us with this project.
