Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, motivated and thoughtful learners! The majority are ENLs and special need students from low-income families who come into our classrooms every day with the eagerness of becoming feature leaders, scientists, artists, etc.

They are big dreamers and believe that they can make a difference and achieve their goals if the support and the opportunity are given to them.

They love to read, write and draw, do math, and do hands-on and movement activities!

The majority of my students are English language learners and students with disabilities, who require exposures to the best educational experiences; therefore, hands-on and realia are a must in my classroom. Many of my students struggle to understand and grasp concepts and they need to be exposed to visual and concrete samples for them to get it.

Each student in my classroom is unique and it is my responsibility as their teacher to find the best and most effective way to help them achieve their potential. Every donation makes a difference in my students' lives. I look forward to creating projects that will make our classroom a joyful learning environment.

My Project

This school year will be a challenging one, with no doubts. The biggest challenge will be to keep the children safe while being in the classroom. Each child will require their own books, their own supplies, as well as their own desks and they, cannot share. For the first time, we will need everything to be washable and individual. We will need these individual pouches to keep each child’s books, pencils, and other writing tools, as well as notebooks individually organize. Each individual student will also be given his/her own box of crayons and colored pencils to keep for their personal use, not sharing. Please help us try to keep COVID away from our children and learning environment and to have a successful 2020-2021 school year!.
