My Project

In my fifth-grade classroom, having essential supplies like pencils, tissues, erasers, and dry-erase markers ensures my students can focus on learning without unnecessary disruptions. Pencils are a basic yet critical tool—whether students are solving math problems, writing essays, or sketching diagrams, they need a reliable way to express their ideas. Erasers go hand-in-hand with pencils, allowing students to correct mistakes confidently and learn that errors are part of the process. Without these supplies, students can feel frustrated and unprepared, hindering their engagement and success. Tissues might seem like a small item, but they are a big deal in a busy classroom. Whether it's a runny nose during cold season or a sneeze that catches a student off guard, tissues help keep the environment clean, comfortable, and focused on learning. When students don’t have access to tissues, it can create distractions and discomfort, taking away from valuable instructional time. A healthy and hygienic classroom allows everyone to work more effectively and minimizes the spread of germs. Dry-erase markers are a vital tool for collaboration and interactive learning. Students use them to solve problems on whiteboards, participate in group activities, and share their thinking with the class. These markers allow for quick corrections and active engagement, which are especially important for visual learners and hands-on activities. When supplies like dry-erase markers run out, students miss opportunities for dynamic, meaningful participation. By ensuring our classroom has these essential tools, we can create a positive, organized space where all students can thrive.
