My Project

These materials will be used to provide a school-side calm-down space with sensory toys and fidgets. Our Elementary school has a high population of students who greatly benefit from sensory calm-down activities. Between special education students, general education students, and students who have autism, we are always looking for materials and opportunities to help our students meet their emotional needs.

These sensory toys and this space will help our student tremendously as they utilize a specific space to help them use their coping and calm-down strategies.

This will allow them to self-regulate and use the emotional regulation skills they are being taught daily!
