My Students

As the District Healthcare Coordinator and a school nurse, our students come with a variety of healthcare needs such as diabetes, asthma, ADHD, etc. There are also times when they come to school and may need a wheelchair for mobility also. We sometimes have emergencies that come up during the school day. Our students are special because every student must be educated to be healthy and healthy to be educated. What I love about our students is the good times we have even when they need the nurse.

My Project

Wheelchairs will help our students with learning so they can be safer and more mobile when they are going from class to class at the Jr/Sr High. Crutches are hard to use when you are also carrying a chrome book and other supplies. Also, wheelchairs will help the teachers and staff get students to the health office faster and safer in the event of an emergency. Wheelchairs will also be used if needed to transport students to the vehicle safely when parents pick them up. I have also requested an office chair because one of our nurses does not have one.
